The site is fully accessible to wheelchair users, including the spacious bird hide. Well-behaved dog owners are welcome - remember, you dog doesn't know that it is a nature reserve, so please help us retain this privilege by keeping him on a lead and clearing up any mess. Directions & transport: Llyn Coed y Dinas is just outside the town of Welshpool, just off the southern end of the by-pass (A483). At the roundabout, take the A458 signed Welshpool, Dolgellau & Powis Castle. The entrance to the reserve is 100m on the right. Park in the reserve car park. It is possible to walk along the Montgomery Canal and pavements to reach the reserve; the distance is a little over one and a half miles.
