Winter Events

We know its early.. but the festive season is starting to jingle its way into Powys, and we’re here to spread the cheer with a truly fantastic lineup of festive fun! Whether you’re after unique, locally made gifts, the warm glow of a mulled cider, or the magic of twinkling Christmas lights, our region has something to make everyone feel as cosy as a Christmas jumper. From Montgomery’s charming markets to Llanidloes’ grand light switch-on, each event offers a slice of the season with a hearty dash of Mid Wales warmth.

Our towns and villages are pulling out all the stops, decking their halls (and streets!) with festive spirit, celebrating everything from holiday craft fairs and carol concerts to Santa meet-and-greets. And as always, the Welsh weather may be nippy, but the community welcome is anything but! So why not make some merry memories this season with a visit to one of Powys’s winter wonders?
