Corris Mine Explorers

Venture underground to discover the secrets of the forgotten underground world of the slate miner. As you explore the dark, damp workings you will feel the mine's history come alive as the expert guides share its stories. Braich Goch slate mine was hand dug by Victorian miners. Mining started in 1836 and continued until the 1970s when the door creaked shut for the last time, leaving a virtually untouched time capsule that you can now enter and explore.
