Escape . . . Our beautiful Mid Wales location means we are the perfect ‘get away from it all’ destination for Birmingham, Cheshire and the Wirral. However you choose to holiday, touring caravan, motor home or Holiday Home Ownership, Smithy Park could be just the place for you. It’s a special place where the River Mule meets the River Severn, and you can relax in your own ‘home from home’ amongst mature trees and shrubs in a garden like setting. Fishing is free on the park or you can try your luck further upstream as we sell permits at Reception.
 
Relax . . . The Montgomeryshire Canal (part of the Severn Way) is right on our doorstep and there is no better place to cycle or take a leisurely stroll admiring the scenery and wildlife, and the canal boats further upstream. Pop into Abermule, only a minutes walk down the lane to pick up a newspaper and groceries from the village shop, or for a meal or drink at the village pub. Local community amenities include a bowling green and tennis courts, and there are also three golf courses nearby.
 
Enjoy . . . From our convenient location, you can easily visit the surrounding market towns of Llanidloes, Welshpool and Montgomery, and the historic towns of Machynlleth and Ludlow, with plenty of attractions, castles, reservoirs and beautiful views on the way! A scenic drive through the Cambrian Mountains will get you to the stunning Welsh coast in an hour, to enjoy the seaside towns of Aberystwyth, Aberdovey, Borth and many more.
