Welcome to The Bushcraft Academy, where your journey to learning about nature, leadership and survival skills begins. Let us share our passion and knowledge of the outdoors with you. At the Bushcraft Academy we do things a little differently, teaching a whole host of skills in unique environments set to challenge individuals and teams of all levels.
 
The Bushcraft Academy is run by Gary Mapletoft, who has a passion for nature and leadership. Following 22 years as a Royal Marine, Gary moved into the Human Resources arena and therefore has the necessary skills and life experiences to develop individuals, teams and outdoor survival enthusiasts across a wide variety of training courses.
