Join us at RSPB Lake Vyrnwy on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January between 11am and 2pm. Knowing what's going on in gardens across the UK is very important to us as it helps us see what's doing well and what really needs our help, so to get everyone ready for the big weekend, come along to swot up on your bird I.D skills.

Embroidery and Art Quilts Exhibitions in Bleddfa

The Bleddfa Centre, Bleddfa

Embroidery Exhibition St. Mary's Church, Bleddfa. Display of hand-sewn and embroidered church textiles including kneelers, wall hangings, cushions and a pictorial history of Bleddfa by members of the Bleddfa Embroidery Group. There will also be an Exhibition of Art Quilts by Lynn Kinsey in the Bleddfa Gallery. Café also open for refreshments. Sat 25th and Sun 26th January 11am - 5pm.

Adam is a powerful and soulful acoustic performer from Llangorse. Better known locally as frontman of rock covers band 'Northern Ruins', Adam is also an accomplished solo act, having played his first show at he globe during 'HowTheLightGetsIn' in 2015.

Friday Live: Nuadha Quartet

The Globe, Hay-on-Wye

Through playing together over the past three years Nuadha Quartet have established a wide-ranging approach to music yet still produce a distinctive ‘Nuadha’ sound. While the emphasis is on memorable tunes the band also draws influence from Brazilian, Moroccan and Gaelic cultures.

Comedy Club


We have a limited number of tickets available which include a pre show curry meal from 6 - 7.45pm at our Waterfront Cafe. 
For £20, you will get a ticket for Comedy Club, a choice of curry served with rice, naan bread and chutney and a bottle of ale, Taffy Apple Cider, Coors Lager or a small glass of wine.

Lord Crawshaw Memorial Walk

Llanwrtyd Wells

Lt. Col. The Lord Crawshaw of Aintree O.B.E., T.D., D.L., was a great friend of and fellow walker with Llanwrtyd Wells Walking Club.

Part of our Annual Challenge Walks Programme, this annual memorial walk has been organised in his honour to recognise his contribution to walking in Wales. Dick Crawshaw was a past President of the Long Distance Walking Association and established a world non-stop walking record of 255.8 miles in 1972.
