King's Baton Relay Brings Celebration to Brecon and the Elan Valley
On 21 June 2026, Mid Wales played host to a truly memorable occasion as the King's Baton Relay passed through Brecon and the spectacular Elan Valley.

With clear blue skies and sunshine throughout the day, communities, visitors, volunteers and participants came together to celebrate this important milestone on its journey. The relay provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the most beautiful landscapes in Wales, with the stunning scenery of the Elan Valley providing a fitting backdrop for the event.
Crowds gathered along the route to cheer on participants, creating a fantastic atmosphere and demonstrating the warm welcome for which Mid Wales is known. From Brecon to the heart of the Cambrian Mountains, the day highlighted not only the significance of the relay itself but also the strong sense of community that exists across the region.

The event would not have been possible without the support and dedication of the many organisers, volunteers, local communities and participants who helped make the day such a success. Their enthusiasm and hard work ensured a memorable experience for everyone involved.
We've shared a selection of photographs from the Elan Valley in our gallery, capturing some of the highlights of the day. For those wishing to explore more, the full collection of images is available via the link below, kindly provided by Mogwai Media.

Search quality often decides whether a wiki actually gets used, so test it deliberately: add a few pages with overlapping terms and see whether a simple page-editing tool surfaces the right results. If search is weak, agree on a naming convention early rather than fighting it later.
This is such an inspiring recount of the King’s Baton Relay! The energy and community spirit truly shine through. I’m curious, what additional initiatives or events might continue to foster this sense of togetherness in Brecon? Also, do you think foodle could play a role in enhancing local celebrations like this?

A tidy pattern for shipping static sites: bundle HTML, CSS, and JS, upload once, and map it to a chosen subdomain on your own domain. The single-archive publishing route is worth a look when you want something lighter than a full pipeline.
