Morning

Start at Broad Street:

Begin your day with a leisurely stroll along Montgomery’s central strip, Broad Street. Admire the handsome Georgian townhouses and the striking red brick Town Hall at the end of the street. Don't miss the grey plaques detailing fascinating historical tidbits about the town.


Visit St Nicholas Church:

Next, head to the 13th-century St Nicholas Church on Church Bank. Inside, marvel at the stunning hammer-beam roof, the beautifully carved medieval rood screen, and the ornate 16th-century tomb of local lord Richard Herbert. In the churchyard, look for the Robber’s Grave, tied to a local legend of injustice.





Explore Bunners:

A short walk from the church, visit Bunners on Arthur Street. This old-fashioned store, run by the same family since 1892, offers a wide variety of goods from kitchenware to quad bikes. It’s a charming, nostalgic shopping experience that’s not to be missed.

The Old Bell Museum:

Head to The Old Bell Museum, housed in a former 16th-century inn.
